  John is listed on the RI Freeman List of Registered Voters 1747-1755 as a Freeman of Scituate RI in 1755. There are two John Stafford listings in the 1774 census. The two listings are identical except one female under 16 is missing in one listing. In the 1774 Census of Scituate, Rhode Island his household consists of 2 males over the age of 16 yrs (himself and John Jr. age 20); 5 males under age 16 (Samuel, Stukely, Isaac, Thomas and Job); 1 female over age 16 (wife Mary); 1 female under 16(Windham County (Marlboro District) Vermont, Probate files, Vol 1, PP 43-46 have a will and inventory for John Stafford. The will is dated 13 Jan 1785 and was presented for for probate on 08 Apr 1785 - making his death between those dates. John Noye John leaves to his wife Mary "my household stuff and moveable estate" for her lifetime, to be divided equally among his children at her death.
