  Job STAFFORD came from Connecticut about 1794 or '5, and settled in the east part of Preston, where both he and his wife died. Another daughter, Amy, married Whitman WILLCOX, who came from Connecticut about 1794, and settled on the east side of the river, about two miles south of Norwich, where both died. Died: "Job Stafford - Proof of death - Filed Aug 13, 1846 To Surrogate of County of Chenango - The Petition of Abel Stafford of the town of Preston Chen. Co., she with that Job Stafford late of Preston dec'd - died at said Preston on 30th day of July last past leaving a last will etc. in which your petitioner is named executor - That said dec'd left at time of his death - a widow surviving him named Parmella, thought to be residing in Preston and the following children to wit: Elizabeth Wilcox wife of Whitman Wilcox of Norwich N.Y. - Mary Skinner wife of John Skinner of Norwich - Lois Tracy widow of John Tracy dec'd residing in Preston - Chloe Tracy wife of Amaziah Tracy of Preston - Esther Stafford of Preston - Amy Aldrich wife of Reuben Aldrich residing in Norwich - No other heirs surviving - all heirs over 21 yrs of age Petitioner petitions for a citation for proving will, Aug. 13, 1841 signed Abel Stafford"
