MRS. LULU M. WELLER
Mrs. Lulu May Weller, 83, died at Lampman Nursing Home Wednesday afternoon after a long illness. Born in Readsboro, July 18, 1876, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jason Stafford.
Her education had been received in Readsboro and Whitingham schools. She was married to George H. Weller at Jacksonville in 1893 and he died in 1935.
She was a member of the Whitingham Baptist Church. Her early life was spent in Adams, Mass. In later years, she had made her home
with her daughter, Mrs. Nellie D. Leazer of Cheshire, Mass., and for the past 17 years at Center Shaftsbury.
She had enjoyed sewing and crocheting and had been especially fond of good reading.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Charles B. (Nellie D.) Leazer, Center Shaftsbury; one son, Bert O. Weller, Bennington; one sister, Mrs. Mamie Carrier, Buckland, Mass.; one grandson, Charles W. Leazer, Orwell; two granddaughters, Mrs. Edwin Levbre, New Ashford, Mass., and Mrs. Hugh Busiere, Bennington; one great granddaughter and two great grandsons; one niece, Mrs. Rose Shaw of California and one nephew, Ralph Underwood, Buckland, Mass.
The funeral will be held from Mahar Funeral Home Friday at 2 pm with the Rev. H. Glenn Payne, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Park Lawn vault. Burial will take place in the family lot in Center Shaftsbury Cemetery in the spring. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 pm.
