  Of USA and Frederickburg Twp, Ontario, Canada. Benjamin Stafford appears in the Napanee region of Ontario, Canada (on the north east shore of Lake Ontario) sometime around 1820. He married Elisabeth SMITH in 1822 and eventually settled on a farm in Tyendinaga Township, north of Deseronto. My wife's father grew up on the part of the original farm, and one of my wife's brothers now owns part of the original farm. I have one of at least two family Bibles, and several births, deaths and marriages are recorded in the family record pages of the Bible. The script is quite ornate, and it is difficult to distinguish between some of the letters and numbers; however, I have transcribed the information as best as I can below. The Bible was published in 1853, and the first entries appear to have been made at about that time. The marriages and births appear to be all written by the same person at one sitting.
