- Harry Stafford moved to Los Angeles, CA about 1934 and worked as a cook and baker before joining Tractor Trac Maintence Co. He took over the Company in the early 1940's. In 1948, he sold the business and moved his family to Surrey, British Columbia, Canada where he had brought land from his brother-in-law and built a house and a barn. Finding work was a problem. After a year, he took a job on a dairy farm in Laddner and moved the family to the dairy.
In December 1949, the family moved back to Los Angeles. His wife, Ida, found work as a secretary in various jobs, including the ICBM program and the FAA until her retirement in 1971. Harry found work with the City of Los Angeles and worked 23 years as a compressor operator for the Department of Water and Power, retiring in 1975. He helped install much of the water system in the West Los Angeles area.
