Man, 74, Drops Dead On Way To His Work
Israel S. Stafford, 74, of 118 Morse Avenue, dropped dead this morning at 7 o'clock while on his way to work at Fairport. Heart failure is said to have caused the man's sudden end. Mr. Stafford was employed at the H. Bettis Company, barrell plant at Fairport. He was formerly a resident of Richmond, later moving into the city, where he was for some time employed at the Lake County hospital.
Two days ago he procured his new position at the harbor. Mr. Stafford, who for the last three years, had been living in this city, is survived by his wife and a nephew, Fred Merrill, of Pearl Avenue.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the home. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
