- Lee took over his father-in-Law's saw mill, wasted the money (alchoholism)
and disappeared. The 1910 census of Ellinwood, Barton Co. KS showed Lee
married to a Nora _____. When Lee died, his brother LeRoy had the body
returned to MI where it was buried in a plot owned by LeRoy. The rest of
the family was not notified of this because Ola believed that after his
long absence, her husband was dead. She remarried. As a courtesy to Ola,
LeRoy placed no headstone on his brother's grave, as had also been the
case with their father, Issac.
