• Notes

  Henry came to York, ME to look after the estate of his Uncle, Col Walter Norton, the principal patentee of the York territory. Col. Norton served in the English Army many years and was noted as an Indian fighter. He was killed by Indians on an expediton into CT.. Henry was marshal of York in 1653. He and his wife witnessed a deed on 13 November 1651. He returned to England in 1657.
