• Notes

  Pearson Henley was a NC native and former slaveholder. When he moved to Henry Co., he brought some of his former slaves with him. Henley and his brother-in-law were neighbors and rivals of sorts. Pearson built the "Round Barn" north of Greensgboro in 1874. Tradition has it that old Seth built the large brick dwelling west of the round barn with his dated roof (1876) to spite his brother-in-law. Died: Date of death could be 21 Mar 1891.
