  True Republican, 1 July 1903 Mrs. George E. Stafford died at her home on North California street on Monday morning. She had long been in poor health. Christina, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Young, was born in Salem, Washington county, N.Y., on March 22, 1836. When she was but an infant she came with her parents to Cortland, this county. She was married on November 17, 1858, to George E. Stafford, and she continued a resident of Cortland until 1884, when they became residents of Sycamore, which has since been their home. Besides the husband there are surviving two children, Mrs. Charles Lattin and Frank, both residents of this city. The funeral services will be held at the home this Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, and the remains will be interred in the Ohio Grove cemetery.
