  A coal miner. Lived in Akron Ohio and West Virginia. Noah returned to the Purseglove 2 mine area after his wife Agnes died and lived the rest of his life there as a miner. At some point he remarried to a woman I know only as Mary. My father Bernard "rode the rails" at age 14 in 1930 from Scotts Run to Detroit MI ( to live with some of his mother's family) and remained there until his death in 1981. Census: Listed as Noah E. Stafford, a rubber factory laborer, with wife Agnes E., sons Clarence and Bernard and widowed father-in-law James Kerns. Listed as Earl Stafford, a married coal miner, with son Bernard.
