  FROM THE CENSUS 1860, IN, Kosciusko Countypage 419, 1390/1390 1870, IN, Kosciusko Countypage 14, 104/104 1880, IN, marshall County, Centerpage 115C (Sarah& children) It is likely that the last will and testament of James Stafford, husband of Ida, is not this same James Stafford. More likely it is his nephew, James, son of William and Christina. James sons: Madison, Martin Logan (or Martin N.), Alvin, and John. Probably the 1880 census would shed some light on this family, but not all of those records have been available to me. By 1900, Madison, Alvin, and John cannot be accounted for, and neither can their father James. The 1880 Census shows his children as Madison, Noble M., Nancy E., William A., and John Emry. James Stafford married Sarah Boyd 31 Aug 1854 in Highland County, Ohio ???
