- Andrew Stafford enlisted to serve as a private in the 44th Unit Co B of Indiana Volunteer Infantry on 22 Nov 1861.
He is buried at Ryerson Cemetery.

In the 1900 census, Florence told the census she had given birth to one child who was still living; this may have been referring to Grover C. Stafford, but his birthdate given in that census is a year before their marriage date.
