  Essex County Republican., February 12, 1954, Mrs Celia Safford Walker, who was critically burned last week, passed away at Champlain Valley Hospital, Plattsburgh, Feb. 4. The members of the Order of the Eastern Star attended in a body and held their service at the church following the service. She is survived by her husband, Albert G. Walker; a son, Daniel S. Walker; two grandchildren, Norma and Harold Walker. Members of the family said the accident occurred while Mrs. Walker was preparing dinner. She was using her apron as a potholder to remove a skillet when the apron ignited.
