Notes |
Per his obituary, published in the Ashland Daily Independent on 12-13 Dec. 1926, he was buried in the Catlettsburg Cemetery on 13 Dec. 1926.
[NOTE: The following obits do not provide an accurate number of the children John had. There was one son born outside of marriage between him and Katherine Wallace (Isaac), and then with his first wife Perlina McCoy, he had 4 girls (Octavia, Louisa, Mary Ellen, and Lillie Elizabeth) and 8 boys (Lewis, Joseph, James Harrison, Fleming, John Frederick, Milton Burns, Edward, and Leo). He married again in old age to divorcee' Mrs. Malissa Stamper, and didn't have any children with his second wife. I do have documented death dates and places for most of these people, but if data is missing, it's because I do not know which cemetery some of them are buried in, or there are two cemeteries with the same name / same county and I don't know which of the two they are buried in, or the death certificate only indicated a county / town and not the specific cemetery. - ceilidh]
