• Notes

  In corresponding with some folks from Osage County, Missouri, I learned that there was a connection between Rev. William J. Stafford and Rev. John Giles. John's wife was Amelia, and someone along the way suggested that she was a Stafford, and was probably one of Richard and Catherine's children. However, I have never seen any proof of such a relationship, and in fact have never seen any proof that William J. Stafford was even related to the Giles. He merely witnessed their will, and if there is further proof that he is related to them, I have not seen it. I would be happy to share any information with you about this family, but keep in mind that at this point I do not believe that either Amelia Giles nor W.D.
