- Matilda was born to Washington Stafford and Elizabeth Licklighter. Sister to George B. Stafford, John Westley Stafford, Louisa Stafford, Mazie Stafford, James William Stafford, and Lydia Stafford. Matilda married Charles Edward Foltz at Eppards Pt. in Livingston Co., Illinois on March 3, 1872. They had 5 boys: Charles William, John Edward, George Lee Roy, Walter James, and Benjamin Harrison. Matilda was survived by her husband and sons.

Good to hear from you. My grandfather was Walter. I have attached the Ch
arles and Matilda family picture. According to the back of the picturefr
om left to right is Bill, Ed, Roy, Walter and Harry. My grandfather was k
now as Pap.
My dad told me a little about his uncles. He said Harry had a grocery st
ore in KC. He mentioned something about Harry and Tulsa Okla. I will ha
ve to get more details. Ed had a farm around Blue Rapids, Kansas. Your g
randfather Roy, he thought had a farm in Oregon. He mentioned that he h
ad a 12 horse combine. My grandfather was the school custodian and care t
aker in Kimball, S.D. Bill according to me dad was the oldest and he thou
ght worked in the oil fields.
I made copies of the stuff off of the website on the Foltz family and I
'm going to send it to my dad and aunt Grace. They willbe surprised to s
ee it.
