  Alias: Daniel H. /Brace/, 1860 Census Called Daniel H. Brace in the 1860 census. According to Scharf, Harry C. Brace was a lawyer, admitted to the bar in Allegany County, Maryland, but "A History of Allegany County, Maryland" says he moved to St. Louis and became a prominent newspaper man. He was still living in 1919. From the 1910 census, it seems that Harry C. (or Henry C.)was married about 1901, and that his wife died very recently, as he reports himself as a widower, but his present marriage lasted 9 years.
