1900, IN, Kosciusko County, Monroe, page 114a, 64/64

1920, IN, Kosciusko County, Monroe, page 75b
In 1900, Westley is listed as a widower.
*about the 1880 census: LDS familysearch.org shows the household as consisting of Christena, Wesley, Irena, Elisha, and James. However, notes for Irena and Elisha say "Must be cases moved from elsewhere on film
". My own handwritten notes from the 1880 index says Irena and Elisha weren't ours, but I don't know if I ever actually looked that up.
NOTES, 03-2006
Here's the answer to the above puzzle. For some reason, the LDS transcription shows the above household consisting of Christena, Wesley, Irena (daughter in law), Elisha (grandson) and James, but the actual census record shows only Christena with sons Wesley and Elisha. Even the transcribed index shows Irena & Elisha as part of this household. We know from marriage records that Westley was at this time married to Orrena/Irena Earlywine. So what's the answer? Look in the household headed by Aaron Earlywine, and there you find the missing Staffords!!! Irena Stafford, daughter, and Elisha Stafford, grandson, are there with Irena's father, brother, and sister. Why the transcribers saw fit to rearrange these households is beyond me!
