Notes |
- Lotus Eugene Stafford was the son of Martin Noble Logan Stafford (he was given a different name in each of the 1860, 1870, and 1880 census for his parents, James & Sarah Boyd Stafford of Kosciusko County, Indiana) and Ida L. Haskens. Martin was one of the Stafford descendants I had almost given up on, and then I discovered him in the 1900 census for DeKalb County, Illinois. The more I studied his family group, the more convinced I was that he was indeed the son of James & Sarah Boyd Stafford. After 1900 I do not know, but his wife went back to Vermont with their children.
Casey Stafford
He may be the Martin Stafford who was a boarder in Kosciusko County,1910, but the census record is practically illegible.

There is a Fayette Stafford, born 1858, as a patient in the Brattleboro Retreat, Battlebor, Windham County, Vermont.
