- George's first wife Margaret apparently died without them having any children. He is probably the widower living as a boarder in the home of ---
-- in 1910, Belmont County, Iowa. According to his father's obituary, George was living in Ankeny, Polk, Iowa, northwest of Des Moines, in 1927. He is found there with his second wife and son Edwin in 1930.
