CUMBERLAND?— Paul Milton Stafford, 75, of Cumberland, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Allegany Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Nov. 17, 1936, in Cumberland, Mr. Stafford was the son of the late Charles Hanson Stafford and Bessie May (Blubaugh) Stafford. He was also preceded in death by a stepson, Richard Davis; two brothers, James and Charles Stafford; and two sisters, Dorothy Miller and Mae Bittinger.
A United States Naval veteran during the Vietnam Era, Paul retired from Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Emanuel United Methodist Church.
Paul is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kathleen (Ruppert) Stafford; his son, Gary Stafford and wife Angela, of Port Saint John, Fla. and a daughter, Tammie Stafford, of Oldtown. He is also survived by his stepson, Michael Davis and wife Marcy and John Davis and wife Lara, all of Westminster; his stepdaughter, Kathleen Lynne Swain and husband Ronnie, of Cumberland; his brother, John Stafford and wife Ginny, of Cresaptown; his sister, Grace Fisher and husband Jack, of Frostburg, as well as eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Monday, July 2, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Glenn Capacchione officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard.
