She was born September 12, 1929 to the late Thomas and Gracie Stafford Flippin. She was a homemaker. Cremation services are under the direction of Curry Funeral Home. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Overbey of Henderson; 3 sons, Bobby Overbey of Dyersburg, James Edward Overbey of Indiana and John L. Overbey; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ralph Overbey; 1 sister, Themla Garrett; and 3 brothers, Billy, Gean and Junior Flippin.
