F. P. STAFFORD DIED ON SUNDAY MORNING
Mr. F. P. Stafford passed away at his home six miles south of Greenville early Sunday morning, Dec 29, 1918.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. G. W. Renfro in the Bethel Church and the remains laid to rest in the Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. Stafford was born in Arkansas, Oct 10, 1853, age sixty-six years, two months and sixteen days and came to Texas in the year 1882.
He was married to Mrs. Mattie Crowell, February 12, 1889. To this happy union were born three children.
He is survived by his wife, children, two brothers and one sister: Charley Stafford at Sherman, Nim Stafford at Eastland and Mrs. Lucy Fowler at Sherman; the children are Mrs. Minnie Crews at Wichita Falls, Marvin Stafford in Van Zant Co and Frankie Esteste in Van Zant Co, and Ervin Stafford at home with his mother.
Mr. Stafford was converted early in life and united with the Methodist Church, living a consistent Christian life until he was called from this life to that life beyond the veil. Our brother has gone to that city on high where the communion with our Father is sweeter and the relationship is more intimate. There to await loved ones, to be gathered around a throne of mercy to which we shall all presently come.
The relatives will have the sympathy of many friends in the loss of this good man.
