'Funeral services for Jessie Tilman Capps, 85,of Dickson, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct.22, 1992, from the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Brother Bill Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in Rock Church Cemetery. Mr. Capps died Oct. 19, 1992 at Goodlark Medical Center. He was a retired farmer and a member of Rock Church. A native of Carroll County, he was born on Oct. 16, 1907, the son of the late Adam P. Capps and Dosha Boaz Capps. Survivors include his wife, Algie Stafford Capps; one son, Jessie T. "J.T" Capps; one daughter Ruby Capps; sister, Mary Byrum, Ruth Nipper,Nettie Jones, Fannie Baker, all of Dickson. Maggie Lawson, Julie Bell "Judy Christeisen, both of Nashville, Annie Bracey of Joelton and Christine Meinhardt of Decatur,Alabama; and three grandchildren.'
**I would love to maintain this memorial for Jessie T. Capps unless you are a direct descendant. He and his wife ran one of the largest farms in the area where I grew up and the memories of playing in their fields are precious to me.
