  Robert Stafford 54, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at his residence in Bargersville surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 8, 1954 in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Richard L. and Jetty (Strauder) Stafford. He was a central control system operator for the Indianapolis Water Company for 32 years, before retiring in 2004. He was owner & operator of Carpets & More in Franklin. He was a member of the Englewood Masonic Lodge No. 715 F & AM and the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite. He had been an active volunteer with United Way and cherished time spent with his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, music and the beach. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Heather (White) Stafford; his son, John R. Stafford; two grandchildren, Evan and Erica Stafford; his brother, Richard G. Stafford and two nieces.
