Obituary:
- James Roy Stafford, 81, of 128 W. Cooper St., McComb, died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Contemporary Arms Nursing Home here..
Mr. Stafford, a retired McComb business man and later employe of the McComb Cadillac Glass Co., had suffered a stroke Dec. 12 and was admitted to Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was moved to the nursing home Jan. 20.
A son of Judson and Hortense (Travis) Stafford, he was born Dec. 26, 1884 in Blanchard Township. He had moved to McComb 55 years ago.
On Dec. 10, 1910 he married Mae Hemry who survives with seven children, Mrs. Irvin (Dorothy) Connine and Mrs. Lloyd (Carol) Weeks, Findlay; Mrs. Chester (Mary) Wedge, Fostoria; Mrs. Harold (Zola Ann) French, Eau Gollie, Fla.; James Robert, Dayton; Donald and Wayne (Mike), McComb. There are 18 grandchildren. A brother, Cloyd, is dead.
Mr. Stafford was a member of the McComb Church of Christ. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Harmon Funeral Home, the Rev. Ronald Murphy, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9:30 p.m.
