- SOUTH BEND - Marjorie V. Stafford, 85, of South Bend, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2009, in the Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center. Marjorie was born on February 9, 1924, in Edwardsburg, MI, to the late Elmer and Bernice (Perrin) Niver. She is survived by her three sons, Bob (Bernice) Stafford of Granger, Bill (Barb) Stafford of Osceola and Randy (Murry) Stafford of Osceola; and a daughter, Joyce Rogers of Mishawaka. She is also survived by her two grandsons, Joyce's son, Sgt. First Class John Rogers Jr., U.S. Army, his wife, Mison, and Bob's son, Matt; and three great-grandchildren: John's two sons, Jonathan and Joel, and Bill's granddaughter, Tyler Marie. Her loving husband has been gone for 23 years; may they now rest together forever until we join them. Marjorie was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was our Mom. We miss them dearly and are proud to be their family. A greater pair of loving parents never lived. Visitation will be held from noon-2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home, with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to the Alzheimer's Association , 50 E. 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46209.
