Mrs. Greenfield, a Kernersville native, was a graduate of the University of NC at Greensboro. She taught school in Halifax Co. and later was principal of Sedge Garden School. She held the position of first principal of Collegio Moravio, the Moravian mission school in Bluefield, Nicaragua for three and one-half years. She was for many years mission chairman on the Provincial Women’s Board of the Southern Province and on the Foreign Missionary Society Board of the Southern Province of the Moravian Church. At the time of her death, Mrs. Greenfield was a member of the planning committee for the Paddison Memorial Library. It was her custom, at the death of a friend, to make a contribution to the Collegio Moravio in Bluefield, Nicaragua through the Kernersville Moravian Church.
