STAFFORD, Wanda Ashworth March 9, 1999 at Southern Hills Hospital. Mrs. Stafford was Executive secretary of Sunbeam Bakery, retired. She was a member of Arlington United Methodist Church, and a founding member of the Music City Dee Bees. Mrs. Stafford earned a Special Achievement Award from the Apollo Space Program. There is a plaque placed on the moon with her name engraved on it. Preceded in death by husband, Edward Wayne Stafford. Survived by son, Beny Stafford, San Diego, CA; daughter, Terri Ursery, Antioch, TN; son-in-law, Dan Ursery, Antioch, TN; brothers, Ernie Ashworth, Hartsville, TN, James Ashworth, Gurley, AL; grandchildren, Chris Ursery, Courtney Ursery, Michaela Stafford, Leigha Stafford; devoted friend, Peggy Williamson, Mt. Juliet, TN. A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2 P.M. Friday, March 12, 1999, at Bond Memorial Chapel, James Ashworth and Fred Lodge officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers: Tom Rollins, Dave Larson, Bob Petrochek, Duane Williamson, Billy King, Chris Ursery, Ken Garner. Honorary pallbearers: Don Archives, Martha Shipman, GeorgeAnna Russell, Doris Denton, Ruth Hale, Music City Dee Bees, Al Menah Drum and Bugle Corps. Visitation with the family will be from 5 – 9 P.M.
