  Buried: Mary Frances Newberry Granberg, 84, of Brian Center, Fincastle, died Sunday, July 6, 1997. Graveside services and interment were held Tuesday, July 8, at 4 p.m. at the Mechanicsburg Cemetery with Tom Turner officiating. She was born in Kentucky, Dec. 16, 1912, a daughter of the late Jesse H. Newberry and Mollie Stafford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erik Granberg; and children. Survivors include six grandchildren, Sharon L. Terry, Karen K. Turner, Barbara L. Cook, Rhonda A. Toro, and Eric A. Kuykendall; eight great-grandchildren, Travis S. Turner, S. Paul Reid, Jesse S. Terry, Carrie A. Toro, Melissa N. Toro, Stephanie R. Kuykendall, Erik M. Kuykendall, and Roni E. Kuykendall; and a cousin, Park Bogle of Pulaski. Newberry Funeral Home in Bland was in charge of the arrangements.
