Frances Stafford St. Clair, age 82, formerly of Mechanicsburg in Bland County, passed away Thursday Jan. 24, 2008 at Conway Regional Medical Center, Conway Ariz.
She was the daughter of the late Montgomery Snow Stafford and Mabel Newberry Stafford. She was a graduate of Bland Schools and Bluefield Business College and a lifetime member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Paul St. Clair; and her three sisters, Thelma Stafford, Catherine Neely, and Ellen Carper.
She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, G. Montgomery "Monty" St. Clair and wife Kathy of Conway, Ariz.; granddaughter, Sarah St. Clair of Conway, Ariz.
Funeral service will be Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Rick Lindamood with the interment in the Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at Grubb Funeral Home Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mechanicsburg Cemetery Fund in C/O Lenora Chewning, 9011 E. Bluegrass Trail, Bland, Va. 24315.
Grubb Funeral Home of Wytheville, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
