  Charlotte "Lottie" Winters was the daughter of Rufus and Abigail (Vandervoort) Stafford. She was the wife of Henry Winters. They were married Prattsburg, New York about 1840. She was a woman of deep spiritual character. She had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church from early childhood. As long as she was able she took great interest in all departments of church work. She was mighty in prayer and faith, always expecting of the Lord the things that she asked for. She leaves a husband to mourn her loss, with one son and daughter. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." The funeral was held from her late residence, Staffor Street, her pastor, Rev. C. R. Church officiating.
