  Obituary: Miss Hattie Fern Simon, 87, of 815 Franklin Ave., who was employed at Jackson's Department store here from the time it opened until it went out of business, died at 2:30 a.m. yesterday in Blanchard Valley Hospital. She suffered a stroke Sept. 30. Born May 20, 1881 in McComb, she was a daughter of Joshua and Clarinda (Stafford) Simon. A member of the Trinity Lutheran Church for 68 years, she came to Findlay in 1900. Surviving is a brother, Harry B., 815 Franklin Ave. Four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Miles Funeral Home with the Rev. O. S. Goerner officiating. Burial will be in McComb Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
