  Obituary for James F. Stafford. Cumberland Evening Times. Cumberland, Md. Thurs., Dec. 26, 1957. Excerpt--Grafton--James F. Stafford, 78, retired B & O Railroad employee and father of James S. Stafford sales manager of Queen City Brewing Company of Cumberland, died at the Grafton City Hospital on Tuesday. A native of St. John's, New Brunswick, Canada, he came to the Untied States with his parents, James F. and Katharine Driscoll Stafford, at the age of 4 and lived in Aurora, Ind. Mr. Stafford started working for the railroad in Indiana, and came her in 1903 as a telegraph operator. He retired in 1946 as train dispatcher for the Monongah Division. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Edna Elizabeth (Sinsel) Stafford, a native of Grafton; two daughters, Mrs. William B. Gibson of Staunton, Va., and Mrs. R. Virgil Rohrbaugh of Charleston; two other sons, Thomas S. Stafford, political writer for the Charleston, W.Va. Gazette, and Charles L. Stafford, an editor of the Baltimore Burea of the Associated Press. Interment will be in the Bluemont Cemetery.
