  Never married. An old notarial record of Cheneyville, Louisiana, dated July 18, 1834, shows tha Eloise A. Stafford sold to Eldred G. Robert (her brother-in-law) some negro slaves willed by James Vaughn of North Carolina to Dr. William Vaughn of Mississippi, and inherited by Elosise Stafford from her half sister, Sarah Matilda Vaughn.
