The Obituary of Marvin Wilson Stafford.
Marvin W. Stafford, resident of Mesquite, died on Thursday evening, May 23.
Funeral services were held from a Funeral Chapel in Mesquite at 2:00pm Saturday, May 25th, with The Rev. Mouzon Fletcher Officiating.
Interment was in The Union Grove Cemetery.
Marvin Wilson Stafford was born in Hunt County on September 30th 1892.
He was engaged in farming there and in 1919, moved to Van Zandt County, near Wills point where he farmed for many years.
He moved to Mesquite seven years ago and has been engaged in Carpenter work in that area until Ill health forced his retirement.
He was a member of The Methodist Church.

His Wife, Mrs Beulah (forbis) Stafford of Mesquite, five daughters-Mrs Gene Ellenberger of Reedley-California, Mrs Troy Glidden and Mrs Glee Russell both of Garland, Mrs R. George Russell of Dallas, Mrs Benny Pettus of Mesquite:
Four son’s-Glenn Stafford of Sacramento-California, Charles Stafford, Ray Stafford and Bill Stafford, All of Dallas.
Twenty Grandchildren, Six Great-Grandchildren, Two sister’s-Mrs Frankie Houk of Oklahoma city-Oklahoma, and Mrs Minnie Crews of Bowie.

Mr. Stafford, a native of Hunt Co., died Thursday in Terrell. He had lived in Mesquite seven years.
Survivors. Five daughters. Mrs Eugene Elleberger of Reedley, CA, Mrs Troy aGlidden and Mrs Glee Russell of Garland, and Mrs. R. George Russell of Dallas and Mrs. Benney Pettus of Mesqutie; four sons, Glenn Stafford of Sacramento, CA, Charles Staford, Ray Stafford and Bill Stafford of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Frankie Houk of Oklahoma City, OK and Mrs Minne Criews of Bowie, 29 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
