- Died in Dundee on Thursday, December 18, 1873, William B. Hamlin, at the age of sixty-two years. [He] came to Dundee in 1835, and succeeded Samuel Kress, Jr., and Edwin W. Lewis, and has remained in business on the south west corner, at the business center of Dundee till 1872. In 1857 he erected a brick store which was burned in 1860.
