Mrs. Mabel Brown Eiseline, 83, of Shortsville, widow of Dr. Daniel A. Eiseline, died Thursday, August 5, 1954, in Clifton Springs Sanitarium, after an illness of only two hours of cerebral hemmorrhage.
She was born April 24, 1871, a daughter of Charles W. and Mary Maria Stafford Brown, and spent her entire life in Shortsville. A graduate of the union school and of the training class in Canandaigua, she taught four years in area schools. She married Dr. Eiseline in 1896.
Surviving are a brother, C. Bennett Brown, of Shortsville; cousins, B. Bennett Brown and Parker Brown, of Shortsville, Mrs. Charles Johnson, of Honeoye, John Stafford, of Naples, and W. W. Brown, of Brooklyn; and nieces and nephews.
Services were held Sunday afternoon from the home in Shortsville, Rev. Walter S. Mitchell, of St. John's Episcopal Church, Clifton Springs, officiating. Burial was made in Woodlawn Cemetery, in Canandaigua. The bearers were John Stafford, John Stafford, Jr., William H. Stockton, Frank J. Stockton, Stewart Matthews, and Wilson W. Brown.
