Funeral service held for McClellan Stafford Thursday
Ellington -- McClellan Stafford, 81, died at his home here Tuesday morning at 5:30 o'clock. He had been in poor health for some time.
Mr. Stafford had been engaged in farming in Ellington Township for 46 years and had formerly served as assessor for 24 years. He was a member of Ellington Grange for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gordon Potwin and Mrs. Fay Shures; a son, Maxwell Stafford; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. M. H. Horton officiating. Burial was in Valley View cemetery, Ellington.
