BABE FINDS MOTHER DEAD, HUSBAND CALLED FROM WORK TO HER CORPSE
Mrs. Albert McDonnell, aged 44 years was found dead at her home 112 W. Mirre Street by her little daughter Alberta aged 5 years late Friday afternoon. Mrs. McDonnell was found near a wash tub, where she was working, when she was taken ill. Coroner's Small and Cameron were called and they deemed an inquest unnecessary. Heart disease was given as the cause of death.
Mother would not speak.
How long Mrs. McDonnell was lying on the floor is not known. Alberta, the youngest child, was playing in the yard. She went in the house for lunch and found her mother on the floor dead. Rushing out, the little tot told Mrs. H. H. Prince, a neighbor, to come over as her mother was lying on the floor and would not speak to her.
Mrs. Prince immediately notified the coroners. Mrs. McDonell seemed to be in excellent health and was well when her daughter, Miss Lois McDonell, went to her work at the J.W. Gavagan Confectionery store. Her husband, Albert McDonell, is a trusted employee of the Alpena Motor Car Company. Neither, Mr. McDonell or his daughter knew of the death until they were notified by telephone.
