  After Amanda died, Harry remarried a woman by the name of Tennie (Willis). She had 3 daughters. Their names were Lillie, Katie, and Edith. Don't know if these daughters were from a previous marriage. The story is that HARRY'S name was Yaekel in Germany and that he changed his name to Smith when he came to America. Could be spelled 'Yackel'. He was in Kaiser Wilhaiem'sS Army in Germany and he was a painter/wallpaper hanger by trade. Born: COLLIE told us that his father came to America as a stowaway from GERMANY. HAZEL SMITH BOPP and HELEN SMITH SCHENK both tell the story of a letter being received from GERMANY about the time HITLER was ruling GERMANY (late 30'S). This letter said COLLIE was HEIR to an inheritance and would have to come to GERMANY to claim it. HAZEL said she would go get it but COLLIE forbid her to go. HAZEL didn't know if it was because he did not know under what circumstances his dad left GERMANY or because GERMANY was on the brink of war.
