  Nathan was born to William and Catherine (Betz-Henderson) Stafford on a farm in Jefferson County OH. He married Sarah Ann Peoples on 15 Jan 1850 and eleven children were born to this union. They lived in Jefferson County Ohio for a time and then moved to a farm in Porter County IN. In 1865 they moved to a farm in Mcleod County MN where Nathan contracted Typhoid Fever and died. About three months after his death the family moved back to Porter County IN. The exact location of Nathan's burial in McLeod County MN is unknown. Died: Died of typhoid fever.
