  Belleville (KS) Telescope - 25 Jul 1974 FLORENCE STAFFORD Florence Sarah Stafford was born to William and Hester Leeding, December 1, 1885 at Republic, Kansas and died July 18, 1974 at the age of 88 years, seven months and 17 days. She was married to Samuel Harold Stafford in September 1908 and six children were born. They moved from the farm to Scandia and in 1946 and in 1964 to Belleville. The last six years she had lived at Belleview Manor. Mrs. Stafford was a member of the United Methodist church in Belleville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Betty Jean, two sisters, Edith Simms and an infant sister, Alice. She is survived by one son, Dale Stafford of Scandia, four daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Ogren, of Kansas City, Mrs. Rosalyn Splichal of Manhattan, Mrs. Ruby McShane of Kansas City, Mrs. Gwen Walter of Belleville, one brother, Harold Leeding, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Services were held July 22 at the Methodist church in Belleville with burial in the Washington Cemetery in Republic.
