I received an Internet note from a Hugh Winters who I believe is from N ew Zealand. He did a search of the UK Marriage Index and one of the pe ople listed is a Margaret Stafford as a witness for the wedding of a Wi lliam Stephens and Hannah Parnell in the Town of Thornbury, England.

Having just returned from Wakefield England and having done further res earch I am updating this record. Ashley and I found a marriage record o f Margaret Stafford to Henry Bilmforth on November 26, 1866 at the Sand al Magna Parish. The record number is number 304 and shows Henry to be a ge 28 and Margaret to be of the age 29. Henry has an occupation of a c arrier and Margaret as a spinster. Henry's father is listed as Hugh Bi lmforth, a farmer and Margaret's father listed as Charles Stafford, a s tone mason. The witness for Henry was John Adams and the witness for M argaret was Elizabeth Leak. Hannah, Margaret's older sister married a W illiam Leak in 1848.
