Buried:
- Died at 3 p.m. Monday at his residence in Corbin. He was a native and a life-long resident of Corbin. He was 80 and a retired farmer. Body at the residence. Graveside services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hiram Stafford family cemetery, the Rev. Marvin Magee and Rev. J. D. Carroll officiating. Masonic rites will also be conducted at the graveside.
Pallbearers: Allen Jones, John Jones, Henry Hughes, Virgil Stafford, Earl Wax and Alex Collins. Honorary pallbearers: members of Hurd Merrill Lodge, No. 54, F&AM.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lovicy Muse Stafford; five sons, Raymond R., Bryant and Nelson N. Stafford, all of Corbin; Hiram H. Stafford, Walker, and Steve S. Stafford, Hammond; a daughter, Mrs. Oudrey Borskey, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Tory Collins, Corbin, and Mrs. Lula Wilkinson, Denham Springs; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Judson Baptist Church and Hurd Merrill Lodge No. 54 of Livingston, F&AM.
