  Cordelia was born in Kentucky. She married Samuel Blair Stafford (b: 3 MAY 1831) in Fentress County, Tennessee on 11 APR 1869. The two had several children in Missouri: William Marion Stafford b: JAN 1870; Mahlon Stafford b: 1872; Emma Jane Stafford b: 1873; Elsie Stafford b: 1876; John S. Stafford b: 1877; and an unnamed baby Stafford b: MAY 1879. The last childbirth killed Cordelia on May 30, 1879. I don't know if the baby surived or not, but Cordelia's cause of death is listed as "peritoneal inflammation or gangrene." She was only about 30 years old.
