  Published in the Rochester(IN) News-Sentinel, Monday, January 23, 1956 Bert LaTURNER, 78, life long resident of Akron, died at his home at 6 a.m. today from a heart ailment. He had been in failing health for the past several years. The son of John and Nancy LaTURNER, he was born in Argos July 26, 1877. A retired laborer he never had married. Surviving are a nephew, Francis LaTURNER, Argos; three nieces, Mrs. Velora McCOY and Mrs. Dorothy STRINGFELLOW, both of Goshen; and Mrs. Lois SAUSAMAN, Rochester. A brother, Witham [LaTURNER], died in 1943. Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Grossman funeral home, Argos. The Rev. Robert WHITHEAD of the Argos Christian church will officiate.
