- Died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 1984, at Dixon Memorial Hospital, Denham Springs. He was 61, a native of Corbin and resident of Satsuma. He was a Johnson Ford Co. salesman and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 8 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Merlin McCon and the Rev. Boyd Hood. Burial in Hiram Staffford [sic Stafford] Cemetery, Satsuma.
Survived by his wife, Laura Roberts Stafford, Satsuma; mother, Lovicy Muse Stafford, Walker; two daughters, Jennifer McCauley, Mamou, and Teresa Stafford Wisdom, Walker; a sister, Oudrey Borskey, Baton Rouge; four brothers, Hiram Stafford, Walker, Benton Bryant Stafford, Denham Springs, Nelson and Steve Stafford, both of Walker; and a grandson, Matthew Thane Wisdom, Walker.
Preceded in death by his father, Lodney Stafford.
He was a member of Judson Baptist Church, Walker.
