  Billie J. Stafford, 68, died April 12, 1999, at a Norfolk hospital. Born in Wise County, Va., she retired from AT&T after 35 years of service. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Norfolk, and Telephone Pioneers of America. The widow of Charles H. Stafford, she is survived by a daughter, Pattie Adams and her husband, David; a sister, Sue Roman, all of Norfolk; two brothers, John R. Stewart of Hawaii and Howard D. Stewart of Suffolk; and a grandson, John Robert Adams. She was predeceased by her parents, Ray and Irene Stewart; three sisters, Clautee Stewart, Margaret Stewart and Wanda Banks; and two brothers, Robert Stewart and Paul Stewart. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. Robert Sandford. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.
